Active Insight
Interview with Billy Justi
Audio Department Manager

We recently announced the partnership of Active Production and Design as the exclusive AV provider for 200 Peachtree. Since then lots of exciting news has developed. Please read on as Billy Justi discusses the all new state-of-the-art audio system Active installed at 200 Peachtree.

Billy, you recently completed heading up the the audio system install project at 200 Peachtree. What was the goal and expectations of this project?

Billy: The #1 purpose was to offer full sound coverage around the entire facility which is  almost 60,000 square feet. This includes the atrium, gallery and conference areas.  The 2nd focus was to make sure the system was aesthetically pleasing and unobtrusive to the beautiful architecture in the venue.

How long did this installation take?

Billy: This took us about 3 weeks to get completed and tested.

What equipment was used in this installation?

Billy: We installed 29 ceiling speakers in the atrium coupled with  8 direct radiating driver arrays arranged on the wall with upper and lower level zones, 3 celing speakers in the atrium foyer bathroom, 8 self enclosed speakers in the gallery and over 30 self enclosed speakers in the conference area. The conference area speakers are zoned off into 8 zones that can be used individually or cover the entire area at once.

Were there any challenges with this installation and how did you overcome them?

Billy:  Our challenge was doing the installation after the building had already been completely renovated. Normally this is something we would do during the renovation and construction process. As I stated earlier it was important to keep the aesthetic integrity of this venue intact.  By working with the helpful staff of 200 Peachtree and the awesome contractors, this wasn't a problem at all.

Greetings!

Garden of Eden

The Garden of Eden Ball at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens was another beautifully lit success.
