Get Safe With Active!

Active Production and Design is serious about being a resource for our clients and the industry. With that being said, be sure to look for your invitation for the 2009 Self Defense class! We work in an industry in which safetly is sometimes taken for granted. We're often in an unfamiliar city or working very late hours. We thought it may be a good idea to share some of the self defense techniques that our very own Matt Clouser teaches along with Global Defense Seminars. This could be one of the most valuable events you could ever be a part of.

For more information contact Active Presents Self Defense 2009.

Active at the Aquarium

This extremely important international affairs group chose the Georgia Aquarium to host it's event.  "It was very important that Active provided the most professional  service," Matt Todd said when describing  working with the political group.  The member based group is 100,000 strong. It is an instrumental tool in strengthing and maintaining the important relationship between America and one of its middle eastern allies. Active was honored to provide the  set design, patriotic lighting effects and video for this meeting.

Betcha didn't know we were artists did ya?

Okay maybe not literally, but we are one of the chosen participants  in the Art of  Celebration-The Making of a Gala, Georgia edition.

This high end publication is "a pictorial journey from conceptualizing the endless variety of social events to creating those flourishes and finishing touches that make them memorable. Alongside the phenomenal photography the reader will have a rare insight into how you, the event planner or collaborator, achieve such triumphant results."
Pretty fancy-schmancy huh? Look for this beautiful conversation piece to be released in early 2010 in fine bookstores and online  including  Barnes & Noble, Borders, Baker & Taylor and Amazon.com.

Play that funky music....!!

Thanks to our "funky white boys" here at Active, (can I say that?), this funk concert held at the Atlanta Civic Center was a party like no other.  VP, John Fox, Marcus Matthews,Lighting Designer and Sound Engineer, John Johnson  collaborated to make this sold out show a funky psychedelic good time. The four truss lighting rig included 24 color commands, 18 PC Beams, 16 studio spot 575's, 4 mole -fays and of course some fog juice baby! This show was awesome! Our system had the crowd "dancin and singin and movin to the groovin!"  And the performers?...well we can't say any names, but let's just say there was a lot of  "love"  in the house that night...OH-WEE-OH-WEE-OH!!

Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrated 25 years!

It was truly an honor for Active to be the exclusive production company for the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's 25th Anniversary Gala. The event was held at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Atlanta in the Centennial Ballroom. Among the elite guest list were several leaders in the hispanic community and Atlanta's business community. The gala included a silent

As one of our latest efforts to give clients the green products they desire, we've recently added this ec0-friendly projector to our sales products. This projector is small and very efficient. Requiring very little wattage, it is ideal for grand openings, tradeshow booths, showrooms and other interior applications. This is a great investment for the planner needing to re-use a gobo projection for several events. Contact sales@activeproductionanddesign.com for more details and pricing on this product.
