March 15th was a great night for the Active team. John Fox graciously accepted the 2009 ISES Allie award on behalf of Active and thanked Matt Clouser for allowing him the opportunity to grow with the company. In this category, Active Production and Design beat out none other than... Active Production and Design!! Competition doesn't get any tougher than that. ; )

| Billy Justi is a veteran on Team Active. For almost 10 years, Billy's expertise have played a dinstinct role in maintaining Active's reputation as the go to company for professional AV services. Billy started with Active as a freelance audio technician. Soon our clients began to request Billy in particular on their shows. We saw the value that Billy brought and made him a full time Active team player. Billy went on to manage Active's audio department and now he supervises the entire warehouse! Billy is married with a beautiful 1 year old daughter. When not keeping the Active inventory in check, Billy enjoys time with the family and billiards with the boys. | |

Thaaaar She Blows!!
This was an awesome event produced at the Georgia Aquarium. "This was team effort at its finest", Matt Todd, Account Executive for the Georgia Aquarium, said regarding the production of this gala for a human resource data processing corporation. "Everyone from catering and decor, to our production team worked together seamlessly and it showed in the final product". The theme of the reception "Explore The Possibilities" centered around pirates and the mighty seas. Huge masts, sails and nets were rigged in the Oceans Ballroom. Skull and anchor gobos lit up the walls throughout the rotunda and the ballroom and added to the ambiance of the evening. The L.E.D. lighting effect on the ceiling morphed from ocean blue to an orange-red sunset effect adding to the look as well. The stage set designed to resemble a pirate ship, was a great backdrop for the entertainment who had the guests ready to shake their nautical "booty".

2009 ISES Allie Award Winner!! 
John Fox is the mastermind behind the AV design that won Active the 2009 Allie Award for Best AV Design. This event was built from the ground up...literally. The Georgia Plant Ground Breaking Ceremony was designed on top of a dirt field that will soon be the site for a $225 million dollar tire manufacturing facility. Our team constructed two tents, rigged and powered all the lighting, video and audio.We rolled out the red carpet for the corporate big wigs and government dignataries that were in attendance. (No we really did, see above picture. )
This plant will bring 100's of jobs to Georgia and help to stimulate our economy. I guess you could say that this was Active's way of contributing to the economic stimulus plan. See, everyone can help. ;-)
Active Partners with Atlanta AMA
The Fabulous Fox Theatre was the setting for this year's American Marketing Association AMY Awards. Over 300 guests gathered to honor the best and brightest marketers in Atlanta and surrounding areas. With so much creative mind power in one room, it is only natural that this group partner with another creative power house to ensure a successful show. Active was honored to produce the event for the 4th largest chapter in the nation. We'd like to congratulate Truett Cathy of Chick-Fil-A for being awarded the Lifetime Acheivement Award .
