Active Production and Design has been named a finalist for the nationally acclaimed Spotlight award in the category of Technical Support Company of The Year. The award goes to the production company that has exemplified superior technical support to the events industry over the past year. Active was nominated along with hundreds of other companies, then chosen as a finalist by an anonymous group. The final winner is chosen by online votes cast by the event community. It is presented at the Spotlight Awards Gala at the Catersource/Event Solutions conference and tradeshow in Las Vegas February 22-26. Thanks to everyone who voted for Active! Active Welcomes...
Senait is Active's newest team member. She will be in charge of, among other things, accounts receivable/payable and most importantly, payroll!. In laymen's terms, she makes sure the bills are paid! Senait is a graduate of the University of Houston and has since developed a diverse background in office management. Before joining Active, Senait's most recent position was Office Manager for one of Atlanta's most elite private venues. So welcome Senait, now...Show Me The Money!! (Come on, you knew I was gonna say it! : ) |

Greetings!
2008 will probably be recognized as one of the most memorable years in US history. It was almost like a roller coaster. The year made us a little nervous but it was thrilling all the same. Thanks for taking the ride with us. With partners and friends like you, I'm confident 2009 holds great things for us all. So here's to thrill seekers like you...out with the old and in with the new, 2009...we're coming for you!!

Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Clydette R. Morton, was recently called upon by the editorial staff of Event Solutions Magazine. The Focus on Production article, which was the cover story for the October issue, focused on creating great holiday events within budget. Clydette, along with other pros in the industry, gave expert tips on working with production companies in order to get more bang for your buck.

Moving Forward...Fashion Forward 
Active was featured as the fall season's fashion must have! Atlanta's most exclusive fashion events, Urban Chic and Fashionada, partnered with Active to deliver two of the most 'must attend' fashion events of the year. Only true fashionistas and the IT crowd attend these 'place to be seen' events. Even Clydette Morton of Active got to rub elbows with ESPN analyst and former NBA player Jon Barry at Fashionada.

Active's 2008 collection featured our sense of style on both runways (see above pics). Urban Chic, held at the Fabulous Fox, featured image magnification and awesome digital lighting effects using tattoo art masked over various gobo designs. Fashionada is always held in the newest and trendiest places. This year's show took place at the Terminus Building in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. Active's appearance was the most anticipated part of the show and Jason Shadix did not disappoint. The LED, multi-colored, T-shaped runway was fierce!

| Happy Sweet 16 !(times 4... plus 6)
This birthday party was so huge that the only place special enough to host such an event was the world's largest aquarium! A whose-who of local and national celebrities, along with friends and family, celebrated this media mogul's special day. We can't tell you who the birthday boy is, but we can give you a hint.....this guy is so huge in the broadcast industry that I'm sure CNN and TBS covered the event. ;-)

The event was held at the waterfront Westin in Savannah, Georgia. It featured dinner, dancing and live performances by a very elite subsection of a Boston orchestra. Beyond the fabulous yachts, historic downtown Savannah served as the backdrop. Guests were wowed at the end of the night with an incredible fireworks display as well. |
