Active helped to turn the Ocean's ballroom into a modern car show. Using ever changing color schemes to create varying moods, Oceans became blue, yellow, green and as red hot as the Volvo S-80 that was on display! Guests of the reception were able to peruse throughout the space and marvel at the vehicles while enjoying the smooth sounds of the jazz quartet. The amazing back drop of the Beluga whales added to the awesome effect of Active's lighting design. Now that's how you roll out a new car! |
| Active's FACE is in the PLACE!
If you are an avid reader of Special Events magazine (and what special event professional isn't?), then you know about it's new segment entitled Faces & Places. The new feature launched in January, 2008 and who did they want to hightlight in their very first article? You guessed it, Active Production and Design! Matt Clouser, President of Active, was featured as the "Face" portion of the article while our own partner venue Atlanta Event Center @ Opera was the featured "Place". The article mentions some of Active's clientele, experience and quotes Matt's formula for having such a successful business in the event industry for 15 years!

Active sets a High standard for the fashion industry...
When the High Museum of Art in Atlanta hosted a who's who event for a major fashion label, they needed a high end production company to fuel the energy for the evening. Active used digital lighting and a high-powered projection system for this party for the beautiful people. Add to the mix stars like Jermain Dupri and Cee-lo Green of Knarls Barkley, along with Active's state of the art audio integration and you have what we like to call Active Couture!

Active On The Road
I think I can, I think I can...
That certainly was not what Active was saying when we jumped on I-20 west, headed to Montgomery, Alabama for this wedding and reception held at the historic Train Shed. We knew we could and so did our client, a top event designer in Alabama. That is why he called upon Active to help make his vision a reality. By adding a beautiful twink light ceiling treatment, paper lanterns and soft fuscia uplighting behind sheer drapes, Active added the ambiance needed to help complete the romantic day.
Then we headed home...on the midnight train to Georgia! (I couldn't resist. :) | |
| Active On The Edge
L.E.D. spells GREEN!
In a continuing effort to offer our clients the most modern and effecient options in event design, Active recently upgraded our lighting department with the addition of even more LED Pars and Bricks. The increased stock allows Active to now offer more GREEN lighting and AV designs. "LED fixtures consume about 80% less energy than conventional lighting. That's a great thing for the environment.", states Steve Zaug, General Manager of Active, "Though we always have tried to implement environmentally friendly elements in our show designs, we are getting more and more requests for GREEN meetings. That's why we invested in the upgrade. We always want to give our clients what they need."
