Idaho Vehicle Report Service Newsletter

Welcome to the the latest IVRS newsletter.  This news letter is exclusive to the report program subscribers.  It includes updates, educational information and anything else that is important for you to know about the IVRS program.

  ALERT: Cash for Clunkers Reporting

As you know, the Idaho Vehicle Report Service program reports on vehicle titles that have been processed through the state.  Because the Idaho Automobile Dealers Association does not receive vehicle data until after it has successfully made its way through the title system, there may be some delayed cash for clunkers titles for the next couple of months.

Some dealers are holding on to Cash for Clunkers paperwork longer than normal transactions before turning it into the county.  Dealers want to be sure that their claim will be accepted.

Just be aware that although you may be counting some Cash for Clunkers as your sales for a particular month, if you don't turn them into the county during that month, they will not appear in the recorded date reports for that month.  They will appear in whatever month you turn them in as far as recorded date is concerned.  (Recorded Date: The date that the county time stamps the application)  As for the sale date reports it will show up in the correct sale date report but it may take up to three months or more to reflect the data in the IVRS program. (Sale Date: The date the dealer reported making the sale)

Reports Available in Excel Format

To access the reports in excel format you can follow these three simple steps after login into the program.

1)
Click on the Dealer Reports on the top tan tool bar.

2)
Choose the month and year of report you would like to see followed by what type of reporting date you would like to see.  (Recorded Date or Sale Date) and press the go button.

3)
Click on CSV next to the district report you would like to see.  A box will appear asking if you would like to open or save the report.  If you open it, it will take you right to excel.

These reports have some pretty detailed information that in excel can be manipulated to examine the report differently than the PDF report.
