Idaho Vehicle Report Service Newsletter

Welcome to the second IVRS newsletter.  This news letter is exclusive to the report program subscribers.  It includes updates, educational information and anything else that is important for you to know about the IVRS program.

IVRS 2009

With the new Idaho Vehicle Report Service program, come more options, new pricing and terms, and more information.

IADA is going to be sending out invoices soon for this new program.  Starting January 1, 2009 subscribers have the option to pay monthly, quarterly or even annually.  The first invoice subscribers will receive will have a monthly charge but there will be a section which allows subscribers to choose how they would prefer to pay.  Those who pre-pay quarterly and annually will receive a discount, but if a subscriber decides to cancel within the quarter or year, they will not receive a refund for the remaining period.

IADA is also going to be sending out a new terms and agreements document for subscribers to sign.  In order for subscribers to utilize this program, IADA is asking that all subscribers sign this agreement.  It mostly indicates that as a subscriber, one will not use the data inappropriately.

IADA staff has been utilizing the association's website more than ever to share useful information.
(www.idahoada.org)  For any questions regarding this new reporting program, you can click on the "More IVRS Info" link in the orange Quick Links box to access the IVRS frequently asked questions page.

If you or your staff are in need of training with the IVRS we are just a phone call away, or if you prefer IADA staff to build your reports for you or even visit your business we will be happy to make the arrangements.  Lastly, IADA will be calling all subscribers each month to ensure your needs are being fulfilled.  Our goal since the beginning has been to provide the best weekly updated "titled/sold" market data available to you 24/7!  As always please feel free to comment on the program, all feedback helps this program become even better!

Date Sold

IADA is in the process of updating the program to actually report title work on the Date Sold.  The Date Sold is the actual date the dealer reported that the sell occured.  IADA has been reporting the Recorded Date.  The Recorded Date is the date that the dealer submitted the sale/title information to the county.  There are two other important dates that sale/title information goes through.

There is the Transaction Date which is the date the county processes the information.  Finally there is the Issue Date which is the date that the state issues the title. IADA has chosen to report on the Date Sold becuase the data will actually be more more accurate.  When reporting the Recorded Date, a vehicle sold at the end of the month may not show up as a sell in that month but it would show up as a sell in the next month.  By reporting the Date Sold, the vehicles that dealers report selling in each month will be tied to the correct month.

Although there is still a little bit of lag time between a sale and IADA receiving the information, we believe this new Date Sold reporting will be more accurate.  IADA should have the Date Sold being reported by this Friday, December 12, 2009.
