Top 10 Holiday Wishes of GABL

 

 The joy and excitement of the Holiday Season and the anticipation of the New Year touches us all. I thought it would be timely for me to share some of my Holiday and New Year wishes for our GABL basketball teams and all of the players, parents, and fans for the balance of the 2010-11 season.                        

So here is my Top Ten Wish List:

 

#10   Mom or Dad gets a GREAT picture of their child

  during a game.

 

          #9   No child gets hurt.

 

          #8   We have no snow cancellations on game days.

 

 #7   EVERY participant scores at least once during the

                season.

 

         #6    No one scores at the WRONG basket.

 

#5    Each game, at least ONE person goes up to an to

        official and says "Good game, Ref."

                 

#4   That some fan of our league appreciates the

       GABL philosophy and organization and becomes a

       financial supporter of the GABL Youth Sports     

                Foundation.

 

#3   Each coach gets a "moment" during the season

       when they realize how important their role is in

       shaping a young child's life by what they are

       doing.          

 

#2   Every participant in our league says they HAD FUN!

 

#1   Every child in the league gets to hear "you played

      great today-I'm so proud of you!"

 

Everyone involved in the GABL organization appreciates your selection of our winter league for your child. Thank you for your continual support, and we hope we exceed your expectations of offering a high quality youth sports program. Best wishes to all of you for a joyous New Year.

A total of six corporate partners have continued their support of GABL Youth Sports Foundation programs in 2010-11, including all four Champion Partners. The Champion level is the highest level partnership in the program.

US Bank's 11-year relationship with the Foundation is the longest among current partners. As part of its Champion level partnership, US Bank is the presenting sponsor of the boys 2nd-4th grade program. Jerseys and trophies received by these participants include the US Bank name and/or logo. The bank also supports the annual golf tournament.

Champion partner Unisource Document Products is in its 8th year as a corporate partner. UDP is the presenting sponsor of the 3-on-3 development program for boys and girls in K-2, and the golf classic. The company provides copy services and products to the Foundation.

The Briley Sonic Group is in its 7th year as a Champion partner.  Sonic is the title sponsor for three programs. The scholarship program provides assistance to families whose children need financial assistance in order to play in the league. The golf tournament has been the primary fundraiser for the scholarship program. The Honors Program gives the Foundation the opportunity to recognize those who serve youth in the community.

Select Photo-Graphics is in its 2nd year as "Official Photographer of GABL" and has exclusive rights to photograph teams and individuals for still and action photographs. The company will provide two team photos for each team at no cost and has a special package for players who are on scholarship. Select also photographs special events such as the Honors Program, the 8th Grade All-Star Games, and the golf tournament.

Shawnee Mission Medical Center has renewed its partnership at the Gold Business Partner level. This partnership began in 2003. SMMC sponsors the Coaches Education Program and is presenting sponsor of the Coaches Orientation Program. The SportsCare staff provides articles for The GABL News.

Dick's Sporting Goods has increased its partnership level from Bronze to Silver Business Partner.  DSG is the "Official Equipment Supplier of GABL" and provides coupons and bonus certificates to coaches. The company also offers special shopping nights for GABL. DSG will be an All-Star sponsor of this year's golf tournament.
