APA Manufacturing Technology Center Nears Completion
|
APA's new world-class machine shop, officially named the Manufacturing Technology Center (MTC), is almost complete! The equipment has arrived and most of it is installed and ready for use.
Special thanks to Tom O'Brien (left), our new MTC instructor, and Don Ruesch (right), a nationally renowned NIMS expert who designed the facility as well as the curriculum for our NIMS course. We could not have completed this keystone project without them!
The MTC will be used primarily for helping students learn the skills to earn NIMS credentials: nationally recognized certificates that open doors to career paths with entry-level jobs starting at $12-16/hour.
