MAKING A DIFFERENCE
CSYNTHIA SAVAGE was named Volunteer of the Month for April 2012

Csynthia Savage was named Volunteer of the Month in April, but not because she did anything extra special that month. She was recognized on Easter Sunday because she has probably given more service hours than anyone else in the history of the ministry and Easter seemed like a grand time to acknowledge it.
Ms. Savage has been of service from "before the world began"...even before we were incorporated in 1989. She has been on the Board since that time, been a dedicated student, active as a Licensed Practitioner and has just now stepped down as President of the Board but remains the Vice President.
Csynthia Savage also uses what she knows to continually refine her experience of life in wonderful ways. She's an inspiration to us all. Thank you Csynthia.
You Make A Difference!

FOOD 4 THOUGHT The top 5 funny Mothers Day quotes... 5) Our Mom said she would like to win the mother of the year competition but she was too busy raising us. 4) The hand that rocks the cradle will probably have a very tired mom attached to it. 3) You know you're a mother when your child throws up and you run to catch it before it hits the rug. 2) Mom's menu consists of two choices: eat it or don't. 1) Mothers have the uncanny gift of serving leftovers out of nothing. Our mom is so good, in fact, that the original meal has yet to be found.

| OUR PURPOSE |
This Center exists to support all people with the transformation of their lives. We do this by teaching Spiritual Principle and by celebrating the Promise of Living.
Our philosophy, outlook and practice is based on the pioneering work of Dr. Ernest Holmes. Our basic textbook is "The Science of Mind" by Dr. Holmes.
Our founding pastor was Dr. David J. Walker. We honor his legacy by adhering to the essence of the Science of Mind teachings and by treating to know "that the innermost God and the highest God are one and the same."
The purpose of life is to strike a balance between acknowledging our completeness and enjoying our creativity.

What Inspires Me
Infinite possibilities are born of remembering the Truth. And the Truth is that we are always creating our life experience by means of the "charge" we are putting into life. So... What are you thinking? What are you saying? What are you doing?
How about these for answers: I am thinking about my role in creating a world that works for all. I am speaking words of encouragement and affirmation to folks I meet. I am busy doing "what is mine to do" toward living my life in balance and joy.
You may be thinking to yourself, "nobody actually talks like that." You might be right but you might also be under-informed. Anyone who is achieving enviable results in their life is doing something that approximates this. They must be. It is, after all, the Law. It does us well to be attentive to great achievements that are happening all around us. I am inspired on a daily basis by people who seem to "get it all done." That motivates me to ask more of myself. It inspires me to think boldly and act constructively. William Blake told us that
To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour... would be seeing life as it really is. Remember, infinite possibilities are born of remembering the Truth. And if that doesn't set you free, I can't imagine what else would! All is Well, Life is Good, We are Truly Blessed ~ John |

Spiritual Mind Treatment
I AM HERE ON PURPOSE
Edward L. Brown R.Sc.P.
The Power and Presence of God forever shines, inspires,
and uplifts Me. I am here for a worthy purpose, to give My
gift to the world. I allow Myself to be divinely guided by
the Infinite Spirit of God.
I radiate and fulfill the Love of God. I am here by divine
appointment, and I enjoy the sacred path that so beautifully
unfolds. I am divinely led and directed in an enlivening way
that is truly breathtaking. Any seeming problems I may
be facing, I turn over to God to help Me transform. I completely accept the greater Truth that is revealed and ready to manifest through Me. I am NOW willing to listen and fulfill My intention. I go far and wide and am always at the right placeat the right and perfect time. I meet and connect with courageous, loving people who reflect and remind Me of My vision and support My worthy purpose.
I am grateful and I accept this great success. My good is available in its totality, and I am truly thankful. And so it is.

From The Perennial Philosophy
Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers,
But to be fearless in facing them.
Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain,
But for the heart to conquer it.
Let me not look for allies in life's battlefield,
But to my own strength.
Let me not crave in anxious fear to be saved,
But for the patience to win my freedom.
Grant me that I may not be a coward,
Feeling your mercy in my success alone;
But let me find the grasp of your hand in my failure.
Rabindranath Tagore(7 May 1861 - 7 August 1941) was a Bengali polymath who reshaped his region's literature and music. Author of Gitanjali and its "profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse", he became the first non-European Nobel laureate by earning the 1913 Prize in Literature. In translation his poetry was viewed as spiritual and mercurial; his seemingly mesmeric personality, flowing hair, and other-worldly dress earned him a prophet-like reputation in the West.

Lessons Of Truth
FORGOTTEN TRUTH
By Rev. Marian G. Moon
At various times we all seem to forget the truth about ourselves. Dr. Raymond Charles Barker wrote: "There is that in you - Spirit - which is unconditioned regardless of what you have done to condition yourself."
The moment we become ill, feel loss, frustration or resistance of any kind is the very moment we have forgotten the truth about the Self. Then our world seems to fall apart and suddenly we are at a loss as to what to do to recover it. It is natural to feel lack and inadequacy momentarily. There may be confusion about who we really are. But that which seems hidden from view is the very thing we need to recover in our memory.
But we may ask "How can we if we don't know what is inhibiting perfect knowing?" How do we return to clear knowing, a place of peace and freedom? By turning attention to the essence of Dr. Barker's quote that there is that within us which is already unconditioned by effects. We can repeat it, affirm it and bring back to consciousness the reality of our being. It is what we are conscious of that becomes our reality. Until we return to a clear state of knowing we are limited by our ignorance of it.
It is a matter, then, of consciously identifying with the Real Truth that sets us free. There can never be blockage or resistance from the Infinite Mind. It is those false impressions we have allowed that take control. Bringing consciousness back is a decision that has clear purpose ... that is, forsaking the false and remembering the truth. We only need to assert it in time of forgetfulness.

THE FINAL WORD
Let there be many windows in your soul,
That all the glories of the universe
May beautify it. Not the narrow pane
Of one poor creed can catch the radiant rays
That shine from countless sources. Tear away
The blinds of superstition; let the light Pour through fair windows, broad as Truth itself,
And high as heaven.
Ella Wheeler Wilcox
November 5, 1850 - October 30, 1919 was an American author and poet. Her best-known work was Poems of Passion. Her most enduring work was " Solitude", which contains the lines: "Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone".
