| MAKING A DIFFERENCE |
HENRY SELVITELLE was named Volunteer of The Monthfor December 2010.
You might not know Henry, but you should. Henry has been a rock-solid supporter of this ministry, well, since its beginning. He is busiest around the Hospitality Center--helping to make sure that all is ready for you when the Celebration ends.
Henry is one of those who really does "the heavy lifting" to make Sundays seem so effortless and joy-filled. We couldn't do it without him and are so grateful for all the ways he says "yes" to our Center.
Henry is someone who really helps to "make a difference."
Thank you, Henry!

OUR PURPOSE
|
This Center exists to support all people with the transformation of their lives. We do this by teaching Spiritual Principle and by celebrating the Promise of Living.
Our philosophy, outlook and practice is based on the pioneering work of Dr. Ernest Holmes. Our basic textbook is "The Science of Mind" by Dr. Holmes. Our founding pastor was Dr. David J. Walker. We honor his legacy by adhering to the essence of the Science of Mind teachings and by treating to know "that the innermost God and the highest God are one and the same."
The purpose of life is to strike a balance between acknowledging our completeness and enjoying our creativity.

What Inspires Me
We are here to support you in your desire for personal growth and positive change. As a teaching Center that advocates for the living of life according to spiritual principle, we know that the future is not pre-determined. The future is created in this very moment. Whatever ideas and feelings make up the bulk of our consciousness will now begin to create the future we will inevitably live in. This is the best possible news, and remembering that is the best possible way to start the new year.
Take time to be earnestly reflective--right now. Ask yourself, "What do I honestly aim to achieve this year?" When that's clear to you, write down six things that you might have to give up in order to have that goal realized. If you're clear on the price you're willing to pay, then the rest is easy, that is, it's mostly a spiritual job. And what we have experienced over and over, is that spirit is mighty and ready to work with us for any life-enhancing reason.
What inspires me is the dedication to change that I see all around me. In this very Center, there are so many of you making sincere, conscious efforts to demonstrate a greater good. Bravo! You have our total support--that's our purpose. We will be here for you, treating for your highest and best to be realized, teaching the power and practice of principle, and celebrating the promise of living.
We wish you the best of everything in this New Year and expect 2011 to be blessed with an abundance of all good things, for all.

Treatment for January
MY UNITY WITH THE ONE
It is with awe and a humble spirit that I stand before the Great Reality and realize what a minute particle of the Infinite One I am. And yet, because of the great gift of consciousness, I know that the I am that I am is all.
It is in this mental atmosphere of perfect right relationship that I declare my unity with the One. I am imbued with the very nature of God, stamped with the individuality of Divine Spirit. I am the steward of the ultimate power in the universe - the power to create my experience of life here and now. Being in right relationship with the One I am, I accept my role and responsibility as master of my mental field. In this consciousness, I now set my intention for Good as the only reality in my life.
I am so grateful for the gift of consciousness and gladly allow Law to bring my awareness of Truth into manifestation now. And so it is. Elizabeth Dadd RsP.

Lessons Of Truth
NEW BEGINNINGS
Rev. Marian G. Moon
Every day is a new beginning. We can rethink our past and look forward to something new. A new year reminds us that we have a chance to start anew.
We may look back and assess our lives and look forward to something different. We can change our circumstances or not. It's up to us. It is a matter of choice in how we view our lives and the circumstances we find ourselves in.
The important thing to know is that now is the only time we have. This moment can make us conscious of what is, this very moment. To live in the moment clears any confusion we may have about the past or future.
This moment contains all we require for a full life.
It is what we are aware of that counts. To be aware we see beyond limitations and lack. We see what has always existed. And what is that? That there is perfection in every experience. There is order and beauty and right action at work in the universe and in our lives right now.
To be aware is to be open to new insight for living freely each and every day. Be aware. Think about the newness of the moment and all things are made new in consciousness. May your New Year be filled with clarity and peace.

The Final Word
The human heart can go the length of God. Dark and cold we may be But this is no winter now The frozen misery of centuries Cracks, breaks, begins to move The thunder is the thunder of the floes, The thaw, the flood, the upstart spring. Thank God our time is now When wrong comes up to meet us everywhere Never to leave us 'til we take
The greatest stride of soul folk ever took. Affairs are now soul size The enterprise is exploration into God. But where are you making for? It takes so many thousand years to wake But will you wake, for pity's sake?
Christopher Fry from his play, A Sleep of Prisoners
