Downsize
See how much downsizing you can do in your life. Take a look at how many articles of clothing you have in the closet and how many of these you simply cannot do without. Keep only what you usually wear, and refuse to keep the rest. Take a peek in your pantry and see if you really need so many food items you have stored in there. Do you really need such a big house and all that furniture?
See if you can do without buying new clothes for a year. Can you manage to live without eating out so frequently? Of course you can! Do you need all those stuffed animals in your bedroom? Do you really play with all those toys and games? Can you give some of your books and DVDs to the library or to your friends to enjoy?
It's very liberating to not partake in the consumer frenzy. There is no need to replace your laptop every two years if it's working well even after four years. Avoid looking at ads that tell you that you must get the latest gadget.
Refuse to be a sheep; be a human. Decide for yourself how little you need and liberate yourself from unnecessary material goods. Downsize! Yours, Didi Ji |
