Be a volunteer

There are so many people who need your help - all sorts of help.  Volunteer some of your time to help others.  Volunteering doesn't have to be necessarily on a very big scale such as helping to build homes or repair damage left by a hurricane.  You can become involved in a small project, a medium size project or a large size project.

Why should you volunteer?  Helping others makes us feel happy.  You must have experienced this in your own life.  When you help others, you help yourself even more.  You get to meet people you would not have otherwise met.  You get to be in places where you would not have been otherwise.  By helping others you shift the focus on to others and forget about your own problems for some time.  By coming to the aid of others, you begin to see that your own situation in life is not so bad after all.

The easiest way to volunteer is to help out those in your own community.  If you would like to volunteer, I can tell you that it would be worth your while to volunteer for the Hindu Youth Camps organized by Radha Madhav Society.  We need volunteer drivers and cleaners.  We also need people to help set up the commercial kitchen and do some heavy lifting.  We need help in making healthy snacks and preparing some other foodstuff.  You can volunteer in many other ways.  Contact secretary@radhamadhavsociety.org  if you would like to help.

We need volunteers like you.

Yours,

Didi Ji
