Humans
are supposedly the most intelligent creatures, but we often have
expectations
that completely defy logic. Many
have fallen prey to the email scam in which someone in Nigeria needs
assistance
in getting millions of dollars out of the country and that someone
promises you
hundreds of thousands for your trouble.
Many have gone to the extent of borrowing money to travel to
Africa in
hopes of becoming rich. They end up
embarrassed, broke and depressed, simply because their judgment became
impaired
due to promises of large amounts of money.
Is there such a thing as 'easy money?' Let's be
realistic.
There
are face creams in the market that promise to make you look ten years
younger. Ten years younger? To look ten
years younger, you have to
be ten years younger or have plastic
surgery. Yet, scores of women
believe the false advertising, consequently giving rise to more and more
such
creams on the market.
Have
you heard about the cigarette, smoking which you will become more
attractive? Look at the chain
smoker with lung cancer and see how attractive he looks. You
have no doubt heard about the
artificial tan that will make you irresistible to others. Ask
those who have a natural tan how
irresistible they are to others.
Let's
not forget the magic pill and the wondrous berry that will help you shed
pounds
as you sleep. Wow! Whatever happened to
exercise and
healthy eating habits? No. Many swear by
pills, potions, diets and
magic formulas.
Be
realistic.

Didi Ji
