Our Spring Study was free, had no homework, and we could sit in any table-group we wanted... but our hearts were stirred.
The courageous women who came to study with us this spring looked at some brave questions and
found some answers from the truths of God's Word...
Do you know that I am worn out?
The BRAVE woman turns to God for REST... and is obedient to the surrender. [Proverbs 30:1, Isaiah 40:31]
Because God is our STRENGTH, HIS REST is needed daily.
Because God is HOLY, if we walk in the good way, we will find REST.
Do you know that I am suffering a thorn?
The BRAVE woman turns to God in her weakness and finds peace in the humility of the thorn. [2 Corinthians 12:7-10]
Because of God's SOVEREIGNTY we can find strength in surrendering:
Tell God the truth about the pain of your thorn. Psalm 69:1-3
Give God your discouragement. Proverbs 3:56, Philippians 4:6-7, I Peter 5:7
Ask God for His peace. John 16:33
Do you know that I am undisciplined?
The BRAVE woman realizes she needs holy dependence to mature toward each new place of discipline. [Romans 7:15]
Because God is EL, He is the strong one
Because God is THE ROCK OF AGES, He is our strength and permanency
Do you know that I am trembling?
The BRAVE woman turns to God for comfort... and then gives to others the comfort she has received. [2 Corinthians 1:6]
Because God is JEHOVAH, He is the eternal, ever-loving God
Because God is JEHOVAH-ROPHI, He is the Lord, the physician
Because God is JEHOVAH-SHALOM, He is our peace
Do you know that I am invisible?
The BRAVE woman responds to God's goodness with her obedience... [Jeremiah 23:23-24]
Because God sees, let us live in obedience. [John 15:14, Jeremiah 29:11]
Because God sees, let us live with hearts set on God [1 Chron 22:19]
Because God sees, let us live with expectancy and hope. [Ephesians 3:20]
Because God sees, let us live gratefully. [Psalms 107:8-9]
Do you know that I am broken?
The BRAVE woman picks up all her broken pieces and puts them in the strong hands of God [Ruth 2:7-17, Joel 2:25]
Because God is our REFINER, He is providentially caring.
Because God is JEHOVAH JIREH, He is the Lord who provides.
Because God is our REDEEMER, He is able to deliver us and bring freedom to our souls.

Let's be BRAVE each new day...let's be women who are equipped for the things that life will bring, not because have studied and are well organized... but because we have found REST and STRENGTH, and GOODNESS, and REDEMPTION, and COMFORT, and PEACE in a source greater that we can understand.
Let's not stop pursuing His Rest.
