Urge the House to Improve School Foods |
The Health of Our Children Depends On Us We still need your help! The U.S. House of Representatives' Education and Labor committee passed a bill, which would make historic investments and improvements in school nutrition to address both childhood hunger and obesity. The bill would:
* Finally remove junk food from school vending machines, school stores and a la carte lines.
* Provide schools with over $300 million a year in new reimbursements for school lunches.
* Make significant improvements to nutrition and physical activity in schools and child care settings.
Please ask your U.S. Representative to make the renewal of the child nutrition programs a top priority and to work to secure the funds needed for the bill. The health of our children depends on it.
