 President's Corner - February 2010
"It's all about perspective...

Chuck Diggle
I'll keep it short and sweet this month to make up for the long entry last time.

This month's meeting is the kind of speaker and program we hope to continue throughout the year - something not only interesting, but something that is about owning a business and doing business.

As you will have read above, we are having the president of the Charleston Chapter of SCORE speak to us this month.  If you are a business owner or have thought about starting your own business sometime in the future, this program will be of particular interest to you.  We hope you will RSVP now that you plan to attend this Thursday's meeting.

Next month, we will have past MPBPA president John Carroll, of Unlimited Performance, speak to us about networking - how to do it and how to make it beneficial to your business.  John has volunteered as a speaker for our group several times and like the three years he was president, his talks are always entertaining and informative.  Mark the date on your calendar now - March 18th.

Until then, I look forward to seeing you this Thursday.  If you have any questions about the Association, any suggestions for us, please do not hesitate to speak to me or any board member.  We are here to serve you.

Along those lines, I know the one question several have asked recently is in regards to the website and the membership directory.  We are currently shifting between webmasters and are working on an upgrade to the site. Likewise, we hope to have the directory updated very soon.  We apologize for the delays but appreciate your patience.  As an all-volunteer organization, sometimes the wheels turn a little slower than we intend, but turn they do.  I'll keep you apprised of progress in this area.

See you this Thursday!
