Pro Photo Tips
| | Pro Tip #2: Flattering Angles
How many times have you seen someone get down low to the ground, imitating that "runway" moment, only to see a widening effect on the hips of the subject when the photo's done? Yikes!
Tip: Just about everyone looks better from a high angle. And very few people can handle a low angle. So, get up on a chair, a rock, a friend's shoulders if you have to, but try the higher angle and you'll look like a pro when it's done.

Example:This is a photograph I took of jazz saxophonist, Mindi Abair. Although she is tiny, I'm guessing about a size 0, she looks amazing from this high angle. I was up on an 8 foot ladder shooting down at her. P.S. Yes, I also painted the photograph.
