Greetings! After hiding away in my studio for the past year, creating a lot of new art, I'm so happy to make the following announcement: Miner Works of Art Publishing has just released it's first new jazz collection ~ "The Midnight Show" ~ and you're invited to the show! Just an update for all who have been asking: The new "Jazz Impressions" book is almost finished. I'll let you know when it's available. And for you wine lovers - a new series of wine art is in the works. More later as it ferments. Ah yes, wine & jazz & art... my favorite combination! Miner Works of Art Publishing Presents: "The Midnight Show" by Bettie Grace Miner A new collection of music inspired fine art pieces by Bettie Grace Miner has just been released by Miner Works of Art Publishing. The abstract series features paintings of very hip jazz musicians, each playing an instrument that is part of a jazz band. Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet, Bass, Drums, Trombone, Percussion, a Singer and more to come. You can "Build Your Own Band" with this new series. Add decor to your music room, den, office ~ wherever you enjoy music and art together, with the music you love. The hand embellished Limited Edition Giclee's are available on canvas. Each Giclee print is 30"x30" and framed in a "gallery wrap" style, with the art extending around the outside of the frame. The edition is limited to 50 and priced at $2500.00 each. The series is designed to fit together with any of the other pieces in the collection. June 25 & June 26, 2007 ~ Please join The Midnight Show at Spaghettini Italian Grill & Jazz Club for their 20th Anniversary party and the debut of this new art collection, which is now on permanent exhibit at Spaghettini's. June 20-22, 2008 Big Bear Lake JazzTrax Summer Music Festival "Not Just a Jazz Festival ~ This is a Full Weekend Experience in the Mountains." Our good friend, Art Good, has done it again! The June 2008 Music Festival will showcase some of the top names in Smooth Jazz. Bettie Grace Miner was commissioned to create the commemorative artwork for the event. Be sure to pick up a T-Shirt as a colorful memento of your weekend of jazz in the mountains of Big Bear, California.
June 2008 ~ Chieli Minucci receives his third Emmy Award Chieli has also just released four new CD's that are available as downloads on his website. Bettie Grace Miner worked with Chieli to create the Cover Art for two of those CD's as well as another CD that Chieli will be releasing in stores (coming soon - watch his website). Chieli, one of our finest jazz guitarists, has really been heating things up lately. Wine and Jazz is featuring Chieli Minucci in one of their fantastic packages and will host an autograph signing session at Spaghettini Grill & Jazz Club on July 13, 2008. Custom Portrait Commissions by Bettie Grace Miner ~ Now Available ~ So many people have expressed an interest in getting the "Jazz Art" treatment for themselves and their families that I have been inspired to work out a portrait package for just that purpose. Hey, musicians shouldn't have all the fun, right? Private portrait commissions include a personal photo session at the Miner Works of Art Studio in Los Angeles, California. From those photos, one will be chosen to create a painting. You can choose prints on canvas or paper from 16x20 up to 40"x60".

Attention Musicians: Did you know? Many people do not realize that Bettie Grace Miner is an accomplished fine art photographer as well as an artist. And even though the majority of her work is of musicians, many do not know she does "straight ahead" photography as well as the artsy stuff! Check out some examples of the straight photos. You might be interested in doing a CD project, poster, greeting card, advertisement or photo for your web site.
Milo's Sanctuary Update: Since the story of Milo's Sanctuary appeared in a recent newsletter, many have asked about all the cats and kittens (especially the special needs kitties). The kitty pictured here ~ "Pita" ~ is one of two Bettie adopted from Milo's Sanctuary.
