Greetings! We are finally coming out of our Winter hibernation and finding so many new and wonderful things for Spring. With Summer right around the corner, I have been very involved with some upcoming Jazz events and wanted to invite you to join me for some fun jazz and art in the sunny Southern California area. Sunday, May 25, 2008 KSBR 20th Anniversary Birthday BASH! An exhibit of Jazz Art by Bettie Grace Miner will be on display at the KSBR Birthday Bash. "With more than 25 headliners playing with each other in a giant jazz jam, each Bash is a once-in-a-lifetime concert for both the artists and the audience. The music will never happen in exactly the same way again." KSBR Bettie will be in attendance at the Bash with an exhibit of Jazz Art prints on paper and canvas (giclee') featuring many of the artists, including some very special surprise guests. P.S. June 20-22, 2008 Big Bear Lake JazzTrax Summer Music Festival "Not Just a Jazz Festival ~ This is a Full Weekend Experience in the Mountains." Our good friend, Art Good, has done it again! The June 2008 Music Festival will showcase some of the top names in Smooth Jazz. Bettie Grace Miner was commissioned to create the commemorative artwork for the event. June 25 & June 26, 2007 Spaghettini Italian Grill & Jazz Club A new series of fine art jazz pieces will be unveiled and on permanent exhibit at the 20th Anniversary Party for Spaghettini Italian Grill & Jazz Club. Each of the nine pieces work together or separately. I have fondly nick-named the series "Build a Band" because that's just what you'll be able to do. The abstract series includes paintings of very hip jazz musicians, each playing an instrument that is part of a jazz band. Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet, Bass, Drums, Percussion, a Singer and more. A hint of what will be unveiled is "Piano" pictured here. Do you recognize the club our pianist is playing in? The Limited Edition Giclee's on canvas are hand embellished. Each piece can be printed up to 35" square. The series is designed to fit together with any of the other pieces. You can "Build Your Own Band." Custom Portrait Commissions by Bettie Grace Miner ~ Now Available ~ So many people have expressed an interest in getting the "Jazz Art" treatment for themselves and their families that I have been inspired to work out a portrait package for just that purpose. Hey, musicians shouldn't have all the fun, right? Private portrait commissions include a personal photo session at the Miner Works of Art Studio in Los Angeles, California. From those photos, one will be chosen to create a painting. You can choose prints on canvas or paper from 16x20 up to 40"x60".
