Greetings! It's almost here ~ By the time you read this, I'll be on a plane heading to Canada! The Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards is coming this weekend. So many of our favorite smooth jazz artists will be recognized for their talent and wonderful contributions. How lucky a girl am I to be there and hang with all those great musicians and friends?! If you plan to be at the Mississauga's Living Arts Centre for the awards ceremony or the post show with Spyro Gyra the following night at The Danforth Music Hall, please be sure to say hello. If you can't make it, please join me in wishing everyone good luck. There will be new pieces making their first appearance at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards as well as a few classic pieces. Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Nick Colionne, Brian Culbertson, Wayman Tisdale are nominated for the prestigious 2007 International Instrumentalist Artist of the Year Award. All these wonderful artists and good friends will be "showing" in the lobby of the Living Arts Center as well as on the stage.
