Important Recital Information

Many important papers have been sent home with the dancers.  This includes the Recital Handbooks, Calendar Raffle Ticket packets and Recital Ad Information.  If your child was absent over the past few weeks, please make sure he/she picks up this information.

The recital handbooks cover all the details pertaining to the recital.  Please make sure to read this handbook and familiarize yourself with the information.  This is a great resource to have with you during the upcoming months.  There will be extra copies of the order forms and handbooks available in the wall pockets next to the bulletin boards at each studio.  Make sure to check this board periodically over the next few months for picture and In Studio Rehearsal schedule and information.

As a reminder: The last day to turn in unsold, full packets of calendars was January 24. At this time, each dancer is responsible for selling the packet of calendars assigned to them. For every packet of calendars sold, you will receive one free recital ticket...if you sell seven or more packets, you will also be able to purchase your tickets at an earlier date.  Recital tickets will not be able to be purchased if the calendar money is not turned in.  Calendar money is due no later than Tuesday, February 22 for sold tickets.  If you would like to pick up extra packets of calendars, you may do so during evening office hours at either location.

Student Appreciation/Costume Pick Up Day will be held at the Channahon studio on Friday, March 11 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. and at the Morris studio on Sunday, March 13 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

At this time, you will be able to pick up your child's recital costumes.  This is a fun time for the students, too, as we have treats and goodies for everyone!

Recital Ticket Sales will be held in Channahon on Friday, March 11 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. and in Morris on Sunday, March 13 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.  For those dancers that sold 7 or more packets of calendars and turned them in on time, tickets will be able to be purchased earlier that week.  Information will be emailed to those that qualify.

The Recital Item Order Form will be posted in both studios beginning March 7 through March 13.  At this time, you'll be able to order recital t-shirts, DVDs, and yearbooks.  If you choose not to order, we ask that you still initial next to your child's name so we know that you have decided not to order.

Recital Volunteer Information will go up at both studios on Monday, March 7.
Recital booster ads for the annual yearbook are due by April 10.  If you would like to purchase a business sponsorship for the yearbook, these are also due by April 10.

Phanfare Videos:  At the end of February, we will beging posting the recital dances to the Phanfare website.  This can be viewed at www.pamsacademy.phanfare.com.  Recital videos will be sorted by location and then by day of the week.  This is a great practice tool for students!

CORRECT SHOE & ATTIRE

Teachers will be handing out a correct shoe note this month to any dancers who currently have the wrong shoes.  You may receive this piece of paper if your dancer has the incorrect shoes.  With pictures right around the corner, we want to make sure all dancers have the correct shoes and that we have enough time to order them if need be.  The staff at Divine Dancewear can help you order the correct shoes if you receive this note.

We also want to stress the importance of following the dress code that we set forth for our students here at PAD.  This is done so that students can focus most on their classes, and deal less with distractions caused by improper dress code.  Please avoid sending your child to dance without the proper attire.  Past recital costumes or clothes that do not fit your child, as well as extra clothing like shirts, shorts, hats, etc. are distracting and take away from important class time.

With the students working on their recital dance and with only a few months left in the dance season, class time is especially crucial and we want to make sure that every child in the class is getting the most from it.

Thank you!
