Bahama's
Experience liveaboard scuba diving to the Bahama's Out Islands. This trip includes the largest variety of diving including: shark dives, walls, high-speed drift dives including the Washing Machine, night dives, blue holes, and the colorful coral reefs of the Exumas Land and Sea Park

Greetings!
I usually take this space to tell you of the opportunities we have for diving adventure but this month I wanted to thank a special customer who has sent Dive West many referrals. Cliff Gonzales many of you know is the owner of the Loon Bar and Grill on McKinney Ave. Cliffs entry into Dive West was a little rough. Cliff came to his first open water class without his home study portion completed. I had to tell him he could not continue without his homework. Well, we didn't see Cliff for almost a year after that. Cliff did return and he chose to upgrade to a private class, completed his home work, did great in the pool and completed his open water certification.
He joined Dive West for our Memorial Day Cozumel trip in 2010. It was his first ocean experience and he looked like a 10 year old when he came back from his first dive. His smile was wide and he had an exuberance about him that was contagious. Since that trip Cliff has been telling all his friends about us here and has sent many referrals since we became the owners of Dive West. Not only is he a great customer but also a great friend.
While Cliff is a unique individual his experience is not. We have many friends here at Dive West, and we have lots of fun. I know not all of you can refer people but if you enjoyed your experience with Dive West I would ask you to help us by leaving a review on GOOGLE REVIEWS or YELP. Dive Around Texas
DiveAroundTexas.com challenges Texas divers to explore the great diving that Texas has to offer. Texas is blessed with over 30 different incredible dive spots including rivers, quarries, lakes and the Gulf of Mexico.
When you sign up at Dive West we will give you a commemorative t-shirt for your registration fee and on completion of the challenge, one ticket to the Awards Recognition Day on Sunday, October 7th, 2012.
The rules are simple. Get with your dive buddies and dive a minimum of 12 times in at least 4 different dive locations in Texas. After each dive around Texas, stop by Dive West and have us verify your dive in your personal logbook with the special 'Dive Around Texas' stamp. Continue to dive in Texas as often as you like, the more times you dive the more 'stamps' you receive for a chance to win Prizes and Trips at the Awards Recognition Day. |

Rescue skills are an essential part of every diver's education. The SSI Stress & Rescue Course builds confidence in your ability to assess and handle diving emergencies. Equally important, Stress & Rescue explains the factors that contribute to diving emergencies, including what causes stress and panic, and how to identifiy and avoid them all together. Learn what to do to prevent an emergency and keep you and your buddy safe. Even if you are comfortable with your own ability, knowing what to do in an emergency situation may save yours or another diver's life some day. The number one response from divers new and veteran is that they feel a new sense of confidence after this course.
In addition to the Stress and Rescue class, Dive West includes First Aid, CPR and Oxygen Provider skills.

Advanced Open Water Diver
Next AOW class: April 21 - 22
Become more comfortable in the water and more confident with your personal diving skills. This course will further your underwater experience and give you a depper understanding of the underwater world through fun and relaxed learning. You get more independent from your Instructor.
This program consists of six dives (4 Specialties conducted within 2 days.
