As I share on EnemaBag.com in the enema history section, the history of the enema points to a long-used and successful healing tool. The illustrations above speak to this history, particularly as it relates to using the colon tube to deliver the enema solution. These images, indicating how far to insert a colon tube, are taken from a medical textbook. Enema usage was customary within conventional medicine well into the 20th century. For instance, medical doctors would recommend that their patients cleanse the bowel in the case of a fever. (In medical or hospital environments, a main reason that reusable enema equipment is now rare is because of the expense of disinfecting the equipment.) If you ever find it difficult to take the recommended 2-4 quarts of enema solution, or if you leak while you are taking your enema, or if you feel like you haven't fully cleaned out your entire colon even after a three-enema series, or if you want your essential oil implant delivered into the descending colon, then you might consider adding a silicone colon tube to your enema equipment collection.
