Important information regarding H1N1

 
Please read all the information below and check out the H1N1 page on our website before calling the office as we cannot effectively schedule appointments and give medical advice to our sick patients because our phone lines and staff have been so busy. 
 
Our anticipated shipment of H1N1 is only in the FluMist formulation at this time. The FluMist cannot be administered to: patients that wheeze, patients with heart disease, and children < 2 years.
 
The Chicago Department of Public Health is determining every aspect of H1N1 vaccine allocation and distribution. We do not know when and how much vaccine we will receive until a day or two before it ships.  We will change our vaccine target groups when we receive different vaccine in the office.
 

Right now our target group for our limited supply of FluMist continues to be:
 

Healthy children 24-48 months of age who have a sibling <6months in the home.
