Do you want to do and create deeply
meaningful and valued work? Do you want to
find the value, patterns and meaning in our
brands and experiences in a world that won't
wait? In this session, you will exercise both
your
creative and analytical chops toward those aims.
Brand Alchemist Mark Brady will
share a concept called Litmusİ which uses
several creative, interchangeable tools he
has found that any committed but busy
professional can use to check their strategic
thinking and amplify their creativity. These
include:
Mark will guide us in a creative exploration that answers what is a Bricoleur and why most every valuable and unexpected idea comes from one; how neuroscience is not rocket science; how Brand is really a Community that gathers around certain ideals; what are your ideas, your customers ideas...and how do they synch-up; finding the words and concepts to convey why your business really is the answer to a customer's problem...and more! The original Alchemy was a blend of hands-on experimentation tied to a search for deeper meaning. It was a whole-brain process tied to the search for Value. For true Alchemists (such as Isaac Newton), it wasn't about literal Gold. It was the search for the order of the unseen things that hold the universe together, the things that move us, literally and figuratively. More than ever, life is about this search and the creation of meaning in things and experiences. This session will give you a taste of mixing your creativity with meaning and awareness to create branding magic...with applicable tools to take with you. Mark Brady is Creative Director | Bricoleur for Alchemy, LLC in Richmond, Virginia. That simply means he straddles the world of Left and Right brain and digs through many arts, industries and sources to look for better answers. It's a very hands-on and fulfilling pursuit. True to the Bricoleur job description, he's currently wrapping up Directing and Editing a documentary for the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of VA which brings the archetypes and work of Joseph Campbell and the Hero's Journey to African-American youth and middle schoolers of all backgrounds. Before joining Alchemy, he worked as Executive Creative Director for Williams Whittle in Alexandria where his brand work for Georgetown University Medical Center, Jersey Mike's, Jamestown, Atcall and Tulkoff's Mustard included back-to-back Best in Show awards in the DC and NY Addys, and Clio and Athena Awards. His favorite client is either F500 Markel Corporation or Richmond's J. B. Fisher Elementary School Mind Games teams. Ask him sometime what fearless innovators and alchemists they both are.
