In this provocative and entertaining presentation, bestselling author Daniel Pink will discuss the medium and the message of his latest book, The Adventures of Johnny Bunko: The Last Career Guide You'll Ever Need. He'll explain why he chose the manga (Japanese comic) format for this book - and what insights that yields for how to convey ideas in a crowded, chaotic media landscape. And he'll discuss the book's six lessons - six crucial, creative and counterintuitive secrets to fashioning a successful and fulfilling career. This session will be audience interactive, so come ready to engage with Dan. Dan's presentation will be followed by a Social Media Creativity and Innovation Panel with Dan and DC's leading social media pioneers who are part of a movement creatively changing the business landscape...and career choices: Nick O'Neill, founder of www.socialtimes.com, Jesse Thomas, CEO of www.jess3.com, and Frank Gruber, founder and publisher of www.somewhatfrank.com and founder of www.TECHCocktail.com After the session, there will be food, music and festive time as Dan will be signing books. There will be only a limited number to purchase on site. We encourage you to purchase your copies beforehand and bring them in to be autographed. You can purchase books by clicking here. We'll also have a drawing for some free books - great for holiday gifts! Dan Pink authored three best-selling books on the changing world of work. His previous book, A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future, is an on-going NY Times and BusinessWeek bestseller.
