session, we will explore creative approaches
to listening in work situations, as well as
within our personal relationships. Through
practical application and vibrant
experiential processes you will learn and

- the five steps of the listening process
- your individual "style" of listening and
how it use it
- being a more committed listener
- listening in the moment
- making the unconscious conscious in
listening
- evaluating the energy of the person
talking to us
- awareness of your own energy as you
listen
- handling complex messages and information
overload
- surface listening vs. depth listening
- recognizing your own listening bias
You will find it easier to accomplish
communication goals creatively by learning
how to discern and listen to your own inner
voice, and the various levels of
communication from others. Join us for a

Barra Kahn, former Artistic Director
of the National Conservatory of Dramatic
Arts, is a Core Energetics practitioner and a
professor of Communications at George Mason
University. In addition to seeing private
Core clients, Barra teaches Interpersonal
Communications and Public Speaking. She also
directs plays locally and teaches Ashtanga
