If you want to increase the effectiveness of your professional and personal interactions, take a different action. Choose different words. In this dynamic, engaging, and fun session you will play with words to experience their physicality and resonance; and learn techniques to create new results in your work and lives. Using Power Words, Swing Words, and Throwaway Words from her book, Action Based Communication: Changing Experience through Language, Renée Barnow will engage participants in an evening full of embodied experiences.

You will experience the physical aspects of speaking and hearing. You will learn key word substitutions and alternative physical movements that support making connections, first with yourself and then with others. Useful in business and personal settings, the benefits of using the Action Based Communication methodology include:

    • Influencing and leading with less stress
    • Understanding more clearly how people hear you
    • Communicating more effectively at work and at home
    • Engaging in dialogue to get desired results
    • Appreciating how one small word can make a big difference
    • Improved job satisfaction and productivity
    • Increased performance effectiveness
    • Reduced stress
