This session will be a chance to revisit, challenge
and
expand your beliefs about how to lead and nurture
creativity. Through a series of interactive
exercises
you will immerse yourself in the stories of
creative
leadership from some of the world's foremost
innovative organizations. These stories come from
Allen's
experiences
with the Innovation University and will
be used to
explore the following themes:
- building a collaborative culture in your
organization
- appreciating and harnessing the power of
failure
- using the power of trust in the face of bad news
or difficult challenges
- cultivating a culture where people truly
appreciate the contributions of their fellow
workers
This will not be a how-to session. Rather,
this is a
session for self-exploratory learning and creativity.
The Capitol Creativity Network (CCN)
meets the
second Thursday of each month to explore and
experience different facets of creativity such as
corporate, expressive, scientific, cognitive,
community, and kinesthetic among others. Each
meeting is content-rich and highly interactive -
designed to have participants engage their own
creativity in real time.
