Dear
Crossing family and friends, What if you somehow discovered there was a vein of gold worth a fortune just waiting to be dug up on the vacant lot next door?
What would you do? Well, you'd figure out how to buy it. Sell everything you have, get a loan from your parents, raid every piggy bank in the house to get that piece of land.
This Sunday's story is about buried treasure and the Kingdom of God. It's another one of the parables Jesus used to challenge us to walk toward the life that he has for us. Anthony Widener, our guest speaker, will lead us through it, and I hope it messes up your life. Because that's what Jesus' stories are supposed to do :)
So come on Sunday with a friend, a Bible and an open heart, ready not only to get into a good story, but also to let a good story get into you.
See you! pastor Kendal PS--Sherry and I are out this week celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! I'm pleased to report that by God's grace we're more in love than ever, and this is a great season for us. Thanks for your continued prayers. See you on June 27th... |
'What If' Update...We're on a journey into God's future for us. Specifically, we have our eye on a piece of property (see box below). A few weeks ago, you and I committed over $475,000 during the next three years! So far, over $60,000 of that has come in, which means we're well on our way to the $100,000 needed as a down payment for the land!
Thanks for your continued generosity and for following God's invitation
to trust him. I love our church and I love what God is doing through us together.
If you haven't had a chance to participate, there's still time to make your 'What If' commitment. Just indicate on a Connection Card or offering envelope :)
What a great adventure we're on...

Our 'Winn-Dixie' outreach...

New Beginnings, a local homeless shelter, is launching a weekly Saturday food and clothing distribution outreach in the Clermont Winn-Dixie parking lot and the Crossing is hosting this Saturday, June 9.
In order to make this a success, we need a continued supply of non-perishable food items, such as rice, beans, peanut butter, jelly, canned goods, etc. Bring to the info table on Sunday or contact Diana Beighley (email below) for pickup during the week. Thanks!
Like to join the team?! Email Diana Beighley at dbeighley@nat.com |
