CELEBRATING SAFE, RELIABLE AND AFFORDABLE ELECTRIC SERVICE

Columbia River PUD is one of over 2,000 community-owned electric utilities in the United States.  During Public Power Week October 4-8, please join us as we celebrate the benefits of community ownership:

Affordable Rates

When we began providing electric service in 1984, our residential rates were 5% less than PGE's.  Today they are 37% lower.  In 2010 that savings will keep $8.5 million in our customers' pockets, helping our local economy.

Reliable Power

We work every day to maintain the distribution system that delivers power to your home.  If your power does go out, our linemen will restore it quickly and do the job well.

Quality Products & Services

From convenient payment options to efficiency and renewable energy programs, we have the programs & services you want.

Community Commitment

We sponsor local events, volunteer for local charities and participate in local service clubs. We're commited to making Columbia County a great place to live.

Improving the comfort and value of your home just got easier: Wauna Federal Credit Union has a new program for PUD homeowners who want to make energy efficiency improvements to their homes.

The Energy Smart Loan Program will help you save money when making weatherization improvements or purchasing ENERGY STAR qualified appliances.

SHOP LOCAL, AND SHOP AROUND!

We've all heard the saying -  it pays to shop around.

When you are planning a home improvement project, we encourage you to get at least two quotes from different contractors.  And be sure to check with our local contractors - there are many local businesses who can provide products and services for you.

If you are planning energy efficiency improvements such as replacing windows, upgrading your heating system or adding insulation, contact our Energy Experts first.  They can tell you about rebates and tax credits that your project may qualify for, and give you lists of local companies to contact for quotes.

To speak with an Energy Expert, call (503) 366-5470 or email experts@crpud.org, or stop by our office during business hours of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
