PUD OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS |

| We're offering Community Service and Utility Industry Scholarship to local high school seniors.
The Community Service Scholarships are $1,000 each and recognize students for outstanding community service during their high school years.
The Utility Industry Scholarship are $4,000 each and are available for students who plan to pursue careers in the utility industry.
More information about the scholarships is available from the counseling offices at St. Helens, Scappoose and Rainier High Schools, or online at www.crpud.net. |
| MY FAIR LADY COURT SEEKS NOMINATIONS |

Do you know a fabulous senior woman who volunteers in our community? Nominate her for the 2010 My Fair Lady Court!
The My Fair Lady Pageant is held during the Columbia County Fair each year to recognize senior women for their outstanding service in our community. The pageant is currently seeking nominees for this year's court.
To nominate someonw, contact Nancy Harwood at the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), (503) 397-5655 or rsvp@opusnet.com, for an application.
Nominees must be at least 55 years old but do not need to be a member of RSVP or their local senior center. Nominations are due March 31st. |

Quiet, easy to use and energy-efficient, ductless heat pumps heat rooms evenly in the winter and provide air conditioning in the summer.
Ductless systems are a great alternative to baseboards, wall heaters or ceiling cable heat. We offer $1,500 rebates for qualifying systems, and federal and state tax credits are also available.
