2010 BUDGET APPROVED, NO RATE INCREASE PLANNED
Our Board of Directors has approved a $31.3 million Operating & Capital Budget for 2010.  No rate increase is planned.

"We're glad we can keep rates stable for customers during these difficult economic times," said General Manager Kevin Owens.

The PUD's major goals for 2010 include:
  • Keeping electric rates stable
  • Maintaining core operations and services
  • Maintaining and improving the distribution system to ensure continued reliability and minimize outages

PUD RATES LOWER TODAY THAN IN 2001

You read that right - our electric rates are lower now than they were in 2001.

The blue bars in the graph below show the average monthly bill for residential customers over the past 10 years.  The orange bar shows PGE's charge for the same usage, based on their rates in December.

The graph is based on 1,100 kWh of electricity usage, which is the amount of energy used by the average PUD residential customer.

ANNUAL AUDIT NOW UNDERWAY
Each year an independent auditing firm reviews the PUD's accounting records to ensure that we are conducting business in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and that controls are in place to safeguard the PUD's assets.  As part of the audit, customer records and billing activity are reviewed.

If you have questions about how your bill is calculated, individual line items on your bill, your billing history or your energy usage, please contact PUD Customer Accounts at (503) 397-0590 or custsvc@crpud.org
If you feel that your bill was calculated incorrectly or that your account balance is not correct, please write to our auditors and describe the error.  Please include a copy of your billing statement, if available.
