Mystery, Forgiveness,
and Focus,

Greetings!
Good news: we are midwifing shifting consciousness and our
interconnected world with every step, large and small!
Good news: our shared
intent is traveling like the speed of light through the collective field!
Good news:
we are waking up to what lies ahead!
There is mystery in what is unfolding, along with opportunity
for forgiveness, unmaking, re-making, and self nurture. We can weave all these
together as we focus our intent every day. As always, I welcome your feedback and look forward to hearing your experiences with shifting your own consciousness. May your summer (or
winter, in the southern
hemisphere), be full of joy, light, and beauty!

Mystery, Forgiveness,
and Focus
"Don't
be afraid of the anguish you feel, or the anger or fear, for these responses
arise from the depth of your caring and the truth of your interconnectedness
with all beings." -- Joanna Macy "The
more time we spend choosing to run the deep inner peace circuitry of our right
hemispheres [our non-linear, sensory-based, right brain], the more peace we
will project into the world..." -- Jill Bolte Taylor "Recent
psychological experiments demonstrate that people have already made a decision
unconsciously by the time they think they are making it consciously. " -- Stanley Krippner "Our
ability to keep up with the quickening pace depends upon our ability to handle
abrupt and unexpected change while not taking anything personally. May we be
conscious of our every action and always, always remember that our perceptions
and responses ripple out and imprint the collective consciousness field." --
Children of the Sun website
Each one of us plays a part in the dance of life, evolution,
and death. We watch the mystery unfold: in our own lives and loves, on the
planet, in the cosmos.
From a spiritual perspective, everything is unfolding
exactly as it should. We could say that we humans are in dire straits, and this
is true: but it is only one of many perspectives. We could say, as the
creatures in the Gulf tell us, "In our death is your death," and know this includes
the death of how we live our resource-greedy lives. From this perspective, the
wake-up calls coming from weather, economic, and environmental disaster may be just
what we humans need to get us to change our ways, open our hearts, and create a
shared consciousness of reciprocity, balance, peace, and community.
Ho'opono'pono
In the collective consciousness, a very interesting thing is
happening. Shared intent is so strong that it is traveling through the
collective field and reaching our awareness before we see the emails or Internet news!
One example is the pressing need to repair the webs--of
light, love, connection, beauty--over the Gulf. Many of us began receiving
visions of these webs days before the Thirteen Grandmothers message began
circulating.
It was the same with the Hawaiian Ho'opono'pono prayer,
which is, in its simplest version,
I
am sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
This prayer is most often offered to a person we are having
difficulty with, or a situation where harm has been done, or felt. I've used
this powerful practice over the years, though not consistently. As I was doing
remote healing in the Gulf, I found myself saying the prayer to the creatures,
the people, the turtles and pelicans, the nesting birds, all the sea life, over
and over. A week later Masaro Emoto's message
about this began to circulate.
What is important about this phenomenon of conscious intent is
that we are all connected deeply, to each other and within the web of life.
Trusting and seeing these connections empowers us.
Unmaking
This word of unraveling and discreating has been arising
over and over recently. "Unmaking" seems a powerful metaphor for focus. In
applying it to the beliefs, habits, and creations that block us from shifting
consciousness, we might consider the following:
Unmaking our beliefs, like "I am alone." "I don't deserve."
"It's their fault."
Unmaking the habits we use as excuses. Such habits might
include distractions like cell phones, dramas, repetitive stories, crises,
illness; focusing on information (mind); making big lists and putting
everything off.
Unmaking what we have created culturally: oil dependence,
consumer trance, a society fueled by addictions.
Every time we unmake something, we create space for
something new to evolve. Change, like everything, requires taking one step at a
time. Every heaviness released, every radiance embraced, is another step along
the path. And each step we take, however small, moves us away from the
immobilization of fear, despair, and denial, and back into the dance of life!
A Conversation With Bear Mother: Focusing Our Attention
As most of you readers know, I work in "non-ordinary
reality" with what are called power animals, helping spirits, and teachers.
Their non-human, non-egoic perspective guides me beyond my individual thoughts
into a broader, collective view. I want to share with you a conversation I've
had with my Bear Mother helper on how to focus our attention in these troubled
times. This Bear has never talked with me so much, so I was quite amazed with
the discourse.
Bear Mother: "My qualities--nurturer and fierce protector--are
good ones to emulate, to draw on, to offer to the world. If you are nurturing
yourselves--and I don't mean distracting yourselves with shopping, food, TV,
internet, and so on--when you are truly nurturing your heart and spirit you can
truly nurture all those you touch. If not you will squeeze yourselves dry and
have nothing to give. Each person has to find her own nurture, has to be her
own mother."
Meg: "What do you mean, 'be our own mother'?"
Bear Mother: "I mean others can love and support you, and
you still have to find your own way. This is a big consciousness, so understand that you are
responsible for filling yourself! Of course there is reciprocity and congruence
with others; of course you live in a network of relationships that feed you and
draw from you. And, as you have probably noticed, if you are nurturing and
filling yourself, more comes your way!"
"I know most of you have figured this out already, and I
want to remind you: it is your internal state that reflects into the world. It
is your consciousness that mirrors. While BP uses its technology to try to fix
the oil leak, your job is to hold an open heart for the possibilities of
healing what is damaged, shifting what is destroyed, and receiving the galactic
and cosmic energies that surround you."
Meg: "Please say more."
Bear Mother: "You have just experienced a lunar eclipse and
grand cross [planetary alignment], and the coming month brings more unusual
galactic openings. You don't need to know a lot about this so much as you need to open your
energetic fields to receive. And I remind you always to set your intent to receive what is
appropriate for you, release anything that is not."
Meg: "Can you tell us what these energies will do to us?"
Bear Mother: "No. For each individual it's different, and
often very subtle. What I remind you is that these are opportunities for
consciousness shifting, opportunities for aligning yourselves with changes
happening on the planet. You can't resist forces bigger than yourselves (at
least not successfully) so you might as well figure out how to align with them!"
"One more thing about dreaming. Your dreams are probably
reflecting the conflicts of these times-some very detailed stuck dreams,
reminding you of old stuck habits, and some very amazing. Remember to observe
who comes to you in these dreams. If you can remember and connect with these
helpers, you will have more allies to call on in these times."
Meg: "Thank you!"
Focusing Our Intent
We can each choose to "unmake" one thing in our lives this
month.Then we can re-make, re-weave, re-member, and re-align.
We can ask "what if" questions to dance into a different
path for ourselves. We can ask:
What if I fly free of all my personal
longing?
What if I welcome disruption as a
gift?
What if, daily, I source from my
wellspring?
We can keep seeing the Gulf in its wholeness: the net on the
physical plane torn and full of holes, but in other dimensions the etheric web,
sparkling with rainbow light, a gossamer spider web of connection, brilliance,
and vitality.
We can focus on beauty, stillness, and openheartedness, all
of which help us be present for each other, our families and friends, all
humans, and all other living beings on the planet.

Talks About Trees In a long
interview, Meg talks about her relationship with both physical trees and
their spirits, core shamanism, and the wisdom we can learn from all the other
living beings on the planet. The Nature Speaks Project "is a pioneering venture
intended to open a frontier into the subtle dimensions of Nature
that are unattended to by most of us living in a culture long
divorced from the natural world." You can find interviews with 17 people who
communicate with trees on the site.

Oil
Spills Everywhere What
we may see as a unusual, localized disaster is truly worldwide. For example,
chronic and even worse oil spills in the Niger Delta have been occurring yearly
since the 1960's. A New York Times article puts our spill in context of
"normal" oil company practices.
