CAUSE MARKETING TODAY

April 2012

Greetings!

Now the third most popular social networking site, it was only a matter of time before a cause marketing campaign cropped up on Pinterest.

Our first Pinterest cause campaign sighting was from chocolatier Lindt as part of its Easter campaign in support of Autism Speaks

Pinterest users were encouraged to choose from among 8 Lindt images to "repin" to their own Pinterest board to unlock a $1 donation or recreate a Lindt-inspired project to unlock a $25 donation.

Midway through the campaign, Lindt upped the repin amount to $10.  According to their Pinterest page, the maximum donation goal of $10,000 was reached.

Have you seen any other cause marketing partnerships on Pinterest?  Send them our way!

And speaking of social media, if you're planning to come to the 10th Annual Cause Marketing Forum conference in May, plan to come a bit early and register for the new workshop, Developing Your Cause Marketing Social Media Strategy, presented by DoSomething.org's George Weiner.

Haven't registered to attend #CMF12 yet?  What are you waiting for?  Register today!

Whether you work for a large company, a start-up or an NGO, you'll pick up valuable lessons from Global VP Albe Zakes based on Terracyle's decade of turning "waste into wonder".
