Cause Marketing Today
November 2008

Helping you reap financial & social dividends
Dear  ,

Are you as exhausted as I am by November's flood of lousy economic news?

In honor of Thanksgiving, I declare this issue a bummer free zone!  In fact, I'm going to open with several recent programs designed to make you smile.

#1) Ellen's Dunk Tank -- In October, Windows Mobile donated $10,000 to fight breast cancer for every celebrity who plunged into an old-fashioned dunking tank on the Ellen Degeneres Show.  Check out the video of celebrities including Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Jenny McCarthy and Hulk Hogan getting soaked for a good cause!

HD HB
#2)  Haagen Dazs Help The Honey Bees -- If you've never caught the viral video supporting HD's campaign against Colony Collapse Disorder you are in for a sweet treat.

#3) Fake DeBeers CM Ad -- If you don't have a taste for dark satirical humor, skip this bogus cause marketing ad in a recent spoof of The New York Times.  You were warned!

#4) Macy's Believe Campaign -- To end on a sweeter note, Macy's has pulled out all the stops to raise up to $1 million for the Make A Wish Foundation of America.  Learn how from an impressive lineup of stars.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and a more upbeat 2009!
