Women of Influence in Silicon Valley

WOI DinnerRecently, I attended a dinner honoring the top 100 Women

of Influence in Silicon Valley.    With almost 1,000 people in attendance, it was a grand evening as each honoree was given time to tell us something about the best business advice they ever received.  Using the required  ten words or less, they were very creative in presenting pearls of wisdom from a grandparent, parent, mentor, even a young child.

It was my privilege to be included in the photo with WOI honoree, Erika Taylor Montgomery; NAWBO-Silicon Valley president, Maxine Goulding; NAWBO-SV Woman Business Advocate of the Year recipient, Ruth Stergiou;  and WOI honoree, Jan Robertson.  Silicon Valley is truly enriched by the many women who live and work here.

BusinessPuzzleMergers and Acquisitions

Is your company poised to be acquired?
Are you planning an IPO?
If either of these events is in the near future for your company, compliance is a major consideration.  Here are just a few questions that need to be addressed:

  • Is there proper documentation for all equity programs, from Board minutes to employee grant agreements to a complete history of all activity?
  • Has the data been audited?
  • Is the data up-to-date, accurate and complete?
  • Do you know the current address of all your investors and stockholders?
  • Has a 409-A valuation been performed in the last 12 months?
  • Has the expensing been recorded properly?

A "NO" answer to any of these questions can lead to serious implications.  We can help with the process!  Give us a call at 408-410-4346 or visit our website.

Sincerely,

Theresa
