:: The Easter Bunny's Coming
 Greetings!

April is here and has brought with it many changes at Sense of Space. Xtend Barre has taken off with a huge success and we are pleased to see so many of our clients trying out a class, as well as lots of new friendly faces! Those of you who struggled to get an appointment with Adrian for his advanced bodywork sessions will be happy to know that he has recently opened up more appointments and his introductory offer is continuing until the end of April.

We are warmly welcoming Holly to our team and saying goodbye to Katie as she is moving to Melbourne at the beginning of April. I will be on maternity leave (very exciting!) therefore please be patient with us during this transition period of training new administration staff. Of course we will continue to do our very best to assist you any way we can.  Our new reception hours are Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Got 2 minutes to get rid of knee pain or thigh tightness?  Then check out our newest video at the bottom of this page.  Below you will find our opening hours over Easter and much much more!

Enjoy!

Warm wishes
Gemma

Bike Week Success

Specialised running classes next!

We had great feedback from those who attended our specialised classes we created for cyclists.

The result was a challenging class that improved functional strength and power for cyclists, whilst addressing their specific postural imbalances.

Watch this space as we will continue to offer specialised classes from time to time.  We are currently planning a pre-fun run season series of running classes.

As always, all of our Contemporary Pilates classes are thoughfully planned and balanced to ensure you the most efficient and effective workout possible!

Lets Roll!

This myofascial release of the outer thigh benefits everybody! The Iliotibial Band (ITB) is a tough band of connective tissue that runs the length of outer thigh and that when tight actually pulls the kneecap out of alignment, causing friction and pain in the knee, hip and elsewhere.

Office workers often find their ITB's to be painfully tight from frequent sitting but the most common group of people who are affected are those who take up a cardio exercise program after a long break (especially runners and cyclists) - such as those who decide to start training for the City to Surf only a few months prior to the event, without having kept up a regular running routine.

So, get started now!  We wont kidd you, this is usually a very painful release at first but once your ITB begins to let go and return to normal tension, you won't believe how much better you can feel.  Not only that but the tension in your quads and hip flexors will start to reduce which will allow your core stability to improve!  So.....lets roll!
