Mega Corp. Newsletter
October 2011
Greetings!

Welcome to our first electronic version of our Think Mega
newsletter.  In addition to this electronic newsletter, we are pleased to announce that we now have online parts ordering available on our newly redesigned website. Customers can now browse through approximately 700 of our most commonly ordered parts and place orders using both PO's and credit cards.  Customers will need to register on-line to access this service.  Pricing on the web, including any applicable discounts and shipping, will be the same as if the order were placed via telephone.  Along with parts ordering, Mega has refreshed the look and functionality of the website to improve its use.  Check us out at: www.megacorpinc.com.
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Jim K
Over the past decade, Mega has steadily increased its sales to customers outside of North America.  In 2008, our sales outside the U.S. reached approximately 50% of our revenues.  In addition to our Albuquerque headquarters,  Mega currently builds its products with manufacturing partners in Colombia and Chile.  Earlier this year, Mega added an independent sales representative for Mega products in Europe - Mr. Paul Dornberger.  Paul is based in Geneva, Switzerland and has responsibility for customers within the Europe/Africa/Middle East territory - EAME.  In order to further this effort, Mega is pleased to announce the establishment of Mega Corp EAME Limited, located in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.

Through Mega Corp EAME Limited, Mega is able to manufacture and sell selected products for destinations within the EAME territory and around the world.  Mega has
established a manufacturing partnership with GT Project Engineering Limited in the UK for manufacture of Mega's products and their assembly onto OEM chassis.  This business model is very similar to the one we have successfully used in Chile since 2003.  By utilizing GT's resources, Mega is able to significantly reduce both freight expense and shipping times for products built in the UK.  It also permits us to deliver a fully complete machine rather than a product in kit form, potentially reducing the total delivery time and eliminating the need for the dealer to maintain this expertise.

Caterpillar Inc manufactures its complete line of articulated trucks in Peterlee, United Kingdom, just a few miles from GT's shop near Newcastle.  Mega Corp EAME Limited can now purchase articulated truck partial machine arrangements (chassis less body) from Caterpillar Peterlee for combination with Mega products within GT's shop.  The combined final products or kits can be delivered anywhere in the world and are available with the appropriate CE certification when required.  Mega's sales department is currently quoting machines for manufacture in this method, please contact
Mr. Paul Dornberger at +41 22 751 0020 or Mr. Jeff Linn at 505-345-2661 for more information.

Off-Highway Water Tanks
For Mongolian Mine
SMS Tanks Banner
Mega is pleased to announce that we have shipped our first products for delivery within the Republic of Mongolia.  Two Mega MTT20 (20,000 gallon) tanks, manufactured in Albuquerque for use with Komatsu HD785-7 trucks, have reached the port of Tianjing, China.  The tanks incorporate the most complete set of corrosion-resistant features we have ever put in one tank:  The water pump, water monitor (cannon), piping, electrical conduit, electrical cabinets and foam agent tank are all stainless steel.  The tanks include an epoxy-coated interior and corrosion-resistant exterior coating utilizing an epoxy primer.  The tanks were sold by SMS Equipment, the Komatsu dealer in Mongolia, and will go into service later this year at the Oyu Tolgoi (Turquoise Hill) mine in the Gobi dessert of southern Mongolia.  Mongolia has a wealth of mineral resources and is experiencing a boom in mining investment - Mega is proud to have a role in this development.
Specialty Dumper Body
For San Juan

MSB banner Earlier this month, Mega delivered an MSB70 70 ton fly ash body to San Juan Coal Mine near Farmington, New Mexico.  The body was sold to San Juan by Wagner Equipment Company, the Caterpillar dealer for New Mexico.  The body is mounted on a Caterpillar 775F off-highway truck - this is the first specialty body Mega has delivered on the new "F" model 775.  The truck and body will be used to haul fly ash from Public Service Company of New Mexico's (PNM) San Juan Generating Station to an environmentally safe disposal site near the powerplant.  Fly ash is a by-product of coal combustion and San Juan is a zero-discharge plant.  The body is equipped with a hydraulically-operated, sealed, tailgate to reduce spillage of the wet fly ash.

Jeff Linn's
Hole-in One
Jeff holeinone
Mega's Director of Sales & Marketing, Jeff Linn, picked the best possible hole to get a hole-in-one - the one that came with a new car!  And what a car it is - a 2011 Mustang Shelby GT convertible.  Jeff was golfing at the Great Southwest Council BSA Golf Tournament in Albuquerque - an event co-sponsored by Mega.  Witnesses said you could hear the screams of
joy across the entire
golf course!
