2011: A Fantastic First Year!

Nearly 2,600 patrons attended our inaugural Christmas concert, Joy To The World, performed at the fabulous Northland Church in Longwood on December 15th and 16th. Our audience was wowed by the production, the highlights of which included a mixture of Christmas songs that ran the gamut from traditional to contemporary, from secular to religious and from international to American favorites.

Adding to the performance by more than 160 vocalists and 37 musicians were narrations and intricate dance routines which tied all the pieces of the show together. Further adding to this special event and reflecting the community heartbeat of CFCA, spokespeople from several of our non-profit community partners filled the theater lobby and represented their respective charitable organizations.

One overwhelmed attendee commented, "That show should be on television!", while other attendees from the Thursday performance commented, "We're coming back Friday and bringing more people!"

We congratulate all of our performers for a job very well done, and we thank the team at Northland Church for their help and hospitality!

Capping off 2011, who could forget the crowning jewel of our season when CFCA performed alongside Marlee Matlin at Epcot's annual Candlelight Processional.  Our choir members closed the Candlelight series by performing the final two shows, receiving praise from Epcot's conductors for our beautiful sound and responsiveness. We excitedly await our next Candlelight opportunity in Dec. 2012!!!
