Praying for marriages

2 Corinthians 8:5

"All I am I give to you, and all that I have I share with you, within the love of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit." These famous words from the Marriage Service sum up the beauty of marriage. Pray for us as a nation, that we will honour and protect this precious gift from God.

Preparing for marriage

Mark 1:15

Pray today for those in your church or local community who are preparing for marriage. The months leading up to a wedding can be emotionally, psychologically and physically draining. Pray that couples will make space to talk, reflect and pray together, so that their foundations will be strong.

Balance in Marriage

Hebrews 11:6

Pray for married couples in your family or church, as they seek to find the right balance for their lives. Pray that, no matter how pressured life gets, they will remain determined to make space to be together, and space for one another to have time alone with God.

Supporting Marriage

Romans 14:19

Our nearest and dearest often get treated to our most frustrating flaws, and this can put marriage under great strain. Pray for therapists working with couples whose relationship is in crisis, that God will give them His profound wisdom to know how to help them rebuild what has broken down.
