Relationships. Contrary to what many may believe to be true they're not easy, not always enjoyable and certainly not a bed of roses - even for those in the Lord!
In saying this, however, what makes it easier for those of us who know Jesus is the fact that we have a Counsellor, a mediator, a third party in our relationships. Because God is meant to be the head of our lives, He wants to govern ALL of it. Sometimes it's a struggle to give our relationships to the Lord, as we can think at times that we know best. But in not doing this and ignoring God - or for those who may have heard a word from Him (you know who you are!) - disobeying Him can lead to serious consequences.

God is a God of seasons. Whether He is telling you to wait, to use wisdom, to end the season of that relationship or even pray more for discernment, one thing's for sure: He isn't telling you to spoil your fun and He certainly isn't trying to stop you from getting that ring on your finger (ladies!). He's more concerned about giving you the best and protecting hearts that could get broken, avoiding time being unnecessarily wasted and reducing the number of Kleenex tissues that would be used for the potential 'rivers of tears' to cry later.
I speak from the heart, as a person who hasn't always listened to God (or even waited to hear from Him), but done my own thing. Stepping out of God's will or rushing ahead of Him comes with consequences.
Don't get in your own way, get in Gods' way!

Get Connected!
Our Connect groups are the lifeblood of Micah, where real lives meet real truths. We aim to provide safe environments for people to come together and share, study the Bible and develop strong relationships through meaningful fellowship.
We want to expand our network of Connect groups in a way that will make a radical impact on our community - whether it's meeting in pubs or cafes etc. We're also looking for:
- new hosts
- new leaders
- new members
- new ideas!
