Water Conservation Tips
Transitioning to Fall

As we make the transition from summer to fall, it is important for homeowners to adjust their water use habits.  Here are some tips to get you started:

  1. Fall is planting season in Southern California --- visit your local nurseries with your Colorful Landscapes for Water Conservation booklet (available at CLWA) to choose the best plants for our unique climate.
  2. Reduce your irrigation to no more than three times a week or call Rene Emeterio, our consultant for our weather-based irrigation controller program to get enrolled today (877.242.2262). To learn more about the program, click here.
  3. Conduct an irrigation tune-up of your system to identify any problems and repair them while the weather is cool. To learn how to conduct a tune-up, click here.
