Welcome to Water Currents

January 2011 Edition

Greetings!

The Castaic Lake Water Agency (CLWA) not only delivers reliable, quality water to the Santa Clarita Valley, but also Water Currents, our monthly e-newsletter, direct to you!

In our new monthly e-newsletter, we will bring you information about water issues, upcoming events, conservation programs and tips from our staff of experts at CLWA.

We have some exciting upcoming classes in January, including our FREE SCV Friendly Gardening Class: Proper Pruning Techniques on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 9AM to 12 noon.

Water Conservation Tip

Sprinkler

Maintaining proper height is a key to healthy turf grass. In the fall and winter, grass should be 1.5 inches to 2.5 inches tall in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Residential Landscape Classes

Would you like to have an irrigation timer that gives your lawn exactly the right amount of water?

If you take CLWA's Residential Landscape Class, you'll learn proper landscaping techniques for the Santa Clarita Valley and receive a free weather-based irrigation controller, worth up to $700.  This type of controller has a mini-weather station, which tells your controller exactly how much to water your landscape.

To register for the next FREE class on January 19, 2011,

Call Rene Emeterio at 877.242.2262.
