Portland Night of Worship

Every tribe. Every tongue. Every nation.

Let's worship the Creator.

Portland Night of Worship, PNOW, is a united, cross-cultural worship movement of united worship leaders and musicians from different churches (including EastPoint) in the Greater Portland area that aim to cry out for Revival in our Cities.

The vision of PNOW is "to mobilize people across
cultural, denominational, and social lines from the nations and cities of the world to join in worshiping and seeking God for His transforming presence and to return to the first Love of God." We believe that Praise and worship from united and desperate hearts will shake the foundation of a city! Plan to be there and you will be blessed.

Join us on Sunday, February 19th at First

Baptist Church located at 340 Canco Road in Portland. Doors open at 5:30pm and music

begins at 6pm.

This event is free.

Discovering Luke

This weekend:

" "

by Scott Taube

Luke 12:49-59

49 "I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

50 But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed!

51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.

52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.

53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

54 He said to the crowd: "When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, 'It's going to rain,' and it does.

55 And when the south wind blows, you say, 'It's going to be hot,' and it is.

56 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don't know how to interpret this present time?

57 "Why don't you judge for yourselves what is right?

58 As you are going with your adversary to the magistrate, try hard to be reconciled on the way, or your adversary may drag you off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.

59 I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny."

Spotlight on Andy Beaulieu

What is your role at EP?

I help out with E-Kids, FUSION, and sometimes the Home Essentials ministry.

Why do you serve?

I love the youth and being around kids is so refreshing to me. I've had a few mentors take me under their wings since I got saved about 8 years ago and their investing in my life has been priceless to my sanctification. If I can play any resemblance of a role like that in a young person's life then that brings me great joy.

Where do you and your family live?

My sister, Kristin (bottom left of picture), and husband, Tim, live in Westbrook. My sister's BFF/my adopted sister, Jaz, (lower right of picture) lives in Portland. My mom and dad, Debbie and Dennis, live in Lewiston.

Where are you originally from?

Presque Isle, ME

What is your educational background?

I have a BS in Health Science and am currently working on a BS in Nursing at USM.

Where do you work?

I bus tables at J's Oyster. Come in and say hi!

What are your hobbies?

Reading, guitar, weight lifting, hockey, chess, being a nerd.

What is your favorite Scripture?

Wow, too many. Ones that get me back on track, though, are:

1 Peter 5:6-7- Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Ephesians 2:8-9- For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Colossians 3:2- Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

1 Thessalonians 5:21- Test all things; hold fast what is good.

1 Timothy 6:6- Now godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 John 5:5- Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Not for Sale Tour w/ The Wrecking National Recording Artists

"The Wrecking" are teaming up with The Not For Sale Campaign to make an impact in our community in the fight against modern day slavery!!

The tour will stop at EastPoint on Friday, February 10th. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7!

The tour combines great live music with inspirational stories and practical solutions straight from the front lines of the fight against human trafficking. Not For Sale equips and mobilizes activists to deploy innovative solutions to re-abolish slavery in their own backyards and across the globe, believing that together, we can end slavery in our lifetime!

The Wrecking is a rock band on a mission. Hailing from Portland Maine, they have consistently crisscrossed the continent playing music and raising a ruckus for causes they believe in. The event closes with an opportunity for listeners to step into the fight against slavery, and to become true modern day abolitionists: the very hands and feet of Christ!
