On the Road to Emmaus
13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but they were kept from recognizing him. 17 He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" They stood still, their faces downcast. 18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?" 19 "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus."

This Saturday!
Make Saturday Night
MY Service!
Thank you to the 50 people who have committed to making Saturday night their service as of April 30th! As we still need about 100 more people to commit, we are making it more convenient by asking for 6 months of attendance instead of a year. We understand there will be exceptions to your attendance! Our goal is to have a core group of attendees - can you help?
You can respond on Sunday or

Join us each Thursday at 7pm at EP for the Young Adults and Campus Ministry Cafe. We will enjoy some java, mingling and music in a relaxed, cafe-style atmosphere before coming together as a group. The video series we will be viewing is called Nooma. (click here to preview some videos)
After the video, we will discuss the message. We hope you can join us!
The best way to stay in the know about this ministry is via Facebook - make sure you friend us!

Sign up to serve!

We are still about 50 volunteers short of our goal which would allow for all three celebration services to function with ease. If you have yet to make a commitment to serve at EP, there is still room to help with Children's Ministry, serving in First Impressions or as a Service Attendant. Respond using a SERVE brochure on Sunday or by following this link.

We look forward to seeing you all for our Easter services.
Our theme is "Glory Revealed!" We hope you will join us at 8, 9:30 or 11am. There is ample room at the 8 and 11am services - if you are able to attend either it would help us as we expect the 9:30 service to be the fullest.
Also, click here to check out our radio ad! This 1 minute promo will be playing on Coast 93.1, during commute time, from next week through Easter.
Sincerely,
