Our Current Sermon Series
This weekend: A Savior is Born, Pastor Scott Taube.
Luke 2:1-7
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to his own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
At our Celebration Services on Sunday mornings, we'll be going through the Book of Luke for the next few months! Here are some interesting facts: The Gospel of Luke was written more than after 30 years after Jesus was on earth, Luke was not one of the twelve disciples of Jesus, and he was a doctor! Luke also wrote the book of Acts.

...We Couldn't Have Done it Without You
As our EastPoint family continues to increase, so does the number of events and volunteer needs. Though we may not be able to thank each one of you individually, God knows and appreciates your servant's heart. You all have special gifts and talents and, in the past few weeks, you have all really come together to support one another. It's been a true blessing to witness. We want to thank the people who helped with the following events on behalf of all who attended.
- The 2010 Ladies'
Christmas Tea - Nancy Tuft's Service
- Melissa Pettingill's Service

What is your role at EastPoint? I worked with the EastPoint team and subcontractors to pull together the interior finishes for our new space. I feel so blessed that I was able use my gifts to serve the church with the transformation.
Why do you serve? I serve as I feel led or needed. We do what we have to do in whatever capacity it is. I trust that God will place me where I'm needed.
Where do you and your family live? My husband Steve and daughter Molly and I live in Westbrook.
Where are you originally from? I'm from Spring Lake, Michigan. Steve is from New York and we met here in Maine.
What is your educational background? I have a degree in interior design and another business management.
What is your career background? I'm a professional, certified and licensed interior designer. I turn spaces into whatever the need is, residentially and commercially. My company is JCJ Interiors.
What are your hobbies? I love travel and serving on missions. I love to be outside and have a great appreciation for art.
What is your favorite Scripture? After the women's study, I am loving the book of Isaiah. But I've also been enjoying Acts in small group and Luke. The Lord speaks to me, telling me what I need to know each day so I don't really have one favorite. I'm enjoying it all!
