Greetings!

Happy Thanksgiving! I want to tell you how thankful I am for you, our friends and customers. It's always difficult to start a new business and Papershell was no exception: from the bitterly cold opening day on February 1 through the hot summer drought. Thank you so much for sticking with us this year!
Lumina
'Lumina' by Jo Edwards
And thank you to all the wonderful artists who've shared their works (and their hearts and souls) with us in our Gallery. We were privileged to display the works of Jo Edwards, Cecilia Campos Merino, Susie Curry, Lisa Bonin, Michael Vollmer, Jennifer Roden, Claudia Piedra, Stevie Ballow, The Texana Center, Anne Ondrusek, Pam McClung, Trish Dean, Lee Steiner, Scott Kelley, Mark Grayden, The Lewand Lens, JZ Selewach, Teri Nolan, and Vanesa Clark this year. Their contributions helped make Papershell what it is, and they are a huge part of what we stand for -- thank you all so much!

Thanks too, to the  many advisors and counselors who helped us through some rough spots. You know who you are! Our suppliers coached a young business through the purchasing process -- thank you. We couldn't have done it without you.
Kristy Parsons

I am indebted to Diana Liga, our garden guru, who taught all those wonderful classes for Papershell this spring and fall. She's working on a brand-new series for 2012! Thank you as well to Kristy Parsons, my staunch employee, who was there through thick and thin, cold and (mostly) hot. And finally, thank you to my family, the Blochers and the Barrows. I can never thank you enough.

Homegrown. Handmade.

Unique. Original. Quirky. That's you! And that's us too. We're proud that everything in our gallery is handmade by local artists and craftspeople and we've assembled a unique collection for the holiday season. At Papershell, we're passionate about supporting the local arts community. It's not just something we do on the side. And we're convinced that everyone has someone on their shopping list who appreciates unique, handmade, original artworks. It's not all Nintendo and aftershave, is it?

Here's a little peek into the gallery this season:

Lee Steiner's beautiful handmade books & journals

Michael Vollmer's Watercolor paintings & cards
Teacup planters on stakes!

Plant stakes that won't poke your eye out!

Please stop by and visit!  Have a glass of world-famous lemonade (or a beer!) -- we'd love to meet you!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Barrow
