Seniors may be within nine months of losing their long held position as one the most powerful voting blocs in the United States. They have from now until November to bring themselves up to speed on the threats to their physical, and financial well being. If the coming perils are not loudly addressed soon, it will be too late.

The myth that a Democrat president, and members of his party, would never undermine programs designed to protect those over 60 must be exposed. Those politicians are counting on these reliable voters to remain in the dark, through the next election. They need golden-agers to stay uninformed regarding the deliberate, under funding of Medicare and Social Security.

Some senior citizens are learning of the perils lurking in The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare). Well over $500 billion has been cut from Medicare. The chief actuary, Richard Foster, has warned that limited funding may stop some hospitals from accepting the program. Other actuarial predictions claim beneficiaries, "would almost certainly face increasingly severe problems with access to care" , and, "Under the high cost assumptions....asset depletion (bankruptcy) would occur in 2016." Because ObamaCare requires participating Medicare doctors to have their reimbursements reduced yearly, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services projects, by 2019 MD payments, "would be relatively lower than those currently paid for Medicaid".

It gets worse. Buried deep inside the 2,500 pages is a new government agency titled the Independent Payment Advisory Board. This outfit is charged with finding "savings" in Medicare by making changes to the program. The agency consists of 15 unelected bureaucrats. They can put their policies into practice without congressional approval. If "Death Panel" is too strong a term, how about "Dearth Panel"?
